Headline of research interest is housing, welfare and social inclusion. Project portfolio the last years includes research on homelessness and housing vulnerability in the general population and among groups such as families with children, refugees and asylum seekers, prisoners and persons in institutions. Dyb was the project manager of the tree latest national homeless surveys and part of the project team of earlier surveys. The national homeless surveys constitute time series of homelessness over 20 years. Research experience covers a variety of approaches, like evaluations of programs, welfare schemes, governance and multilevel organisation and research involving homeless individuals, as well as quantitative and qualitative methods.

Dyb is a member of the COST Action ‘Measuring homelessness on a European level’. She is also a member of the international advisory committee of the European Journal of Homelessness and participated at the European Observatory on Homelessness 2004-2010. Dyb is one of the coordinators of the standing working group ‘Welfare Policy, Homelessness, and Social Exclusion’ in ENHR/European Network for Housing Research established in 2004, which has offered a workshop at every annual ENHR conference ever since.
