Bio

o Ozga is a Policy Worker with Scottish Women’s Aid where she has worked since 2004. A key part of her work focuses on improving housing providers’ responses to domestic abuse. This includes the prevention of women and children’s homelessness as a result of domestic abuse. In 2016 Scottish Women’s Aid published Change, Justice, Fairness: “Why should we have to move everywhere and everything because of him?” the findings of a participatory action research project which she co-facilitated. The research was designed and led by women with direct experience of domestic abuse and homelessness. Her background is in social housing, where she was responsible for developing and managing accommodation and support services for a range of vulnerable client groups.
